Cocktail Masterclass with Kay Plunkett-Hogge

Cocktail Master-class with Kay Plunkett-Hogge
Weds 19th August @ 18.30 via Zoom
Kay Plunkett-Hogge is an acclaimed food and drinks writer, and the author of The Art Of The Party; Aperitivo: Drinks and Snacks For The Dolce Vita; Adventures Of A Terribly Greedy Girl ; A Sherry And A Little Plate Of Tapas;  Heat: Cooking With Chillies; Make Mine A Martini; and her recent book Baan: Recipes & Stories From My Thai Home.
In addition to her own books, Kay has co-authored a further six books, working with the award-winning chef Bryn Williams, Academy Award nominated actor Stanley Tucci, and with the American pizza guru Chris Bianco. She also writes a regular monthly column for Delicious Magazine and writes on cocktails for The Daily Telegraph, The Times and The Sunday Times, The Guardian, and Sainsbury’s Magazine.

Born and brought up in 1970s Bangkok, Kay spent her childhood between two kitchens — inside for Western food, outside for Thai — before forging an international career in the film and fashion industries. It is an experience which has given her an in-depth knowledge of cuisines from all over the world.

Kay will be giving us a cocktail-making masterclass, where she will prepare the infamous drink Khun Sompong’s Thaijito and some Thai snacks to accompany it.
If you want to make your own cocktail alongside Kay, you will need:
Brown sugar
Lemongrass
Fresh limes
Fresh root ginger
Thai whisky (Mekong) or amber (dark) rum
Soda water
Ice
